چکیده
METHODS: Custom 3DPBC scaffolds designed to present lattice-based porosity only towards the dural surface were either coated with collagen (control) or coated with collagen and immersed in a 100 μM concentration dipyridamole (DIPY) solution. Sheep (n=5) were subjected to 2 ipsilateral trephine-induced (11 mm diameter) calvarial defects. Either a control or a DIPY scaffold was placed in each defect and the surgery was repeated on the contralateral side 3 weeks later. Following sacrifice, defects were evaluated through microcomputed tomography and histologic analysis for bone, scaffold, and soft tissue quantification throughout the defect. Parametric and non-parametric methods were utilized to determine statistical significance based on data distribution.

T ueday, M arch 8, 2017 METHODS: One hundred fifty-eight patients with 277 expanded skin cases during 2010 to 2014 were reviewed and photograph-evaluated for the expanded skin texture and regenerative condition. Overall texture of the expanded skin flaps (Good, Fair, Poor) were evaluated and documented by senior attending surgeons. The occurrence of five indications of skin regeneration limitat...
متن کاملBioactive Scaffolds for Regeneration of Cartilage and Subchondral Bone Interface
The cartilage lesion resulting from osteoarthritis (OA) always extends into subchondral bone. It is of great importance for simultaneous regeneration of two tissues of cartilage and subchondral bone. 3D-printed Sr5(PO4)2SiO4 (SPS) bioactive ceramic scaffolds may achieve the aim of regenerating both of cartilage and subchondral bone. We hypothesized that strontium (Sr) and silicon (Si) ions rele...

متن کاملSystematical Evaluation of Mechanically Strong 3D Printed Diluted magnesium Doping Wollastonite Scaffolds on Osteogenic Capacity in Rabbit Calvarial Defects
Wollastonite (CaSiO3; CSi) ceramic is a promising bioactive material for bone defect repair due to slightly fast degradation of its porous constructs in vivo. In our previous strategy some key features of CSi ceramic have been significantly improved by dilute magnesium doping for regulating mechanical properties and biodegradation. Here we demonstrate that 6 ~ 14% of Ca substituted by Mg in CSi...
متن کاملNano-biphasic calcium phosphate/polyvinyl alcohol composites with enhanced bioactivity for bone repair via low-temperature three-dimensional printing and loading with platelet-rich fibrin
Background and aim As a newly emerging three-dimensional (3D) printing technology, low-temperature robocasting can be used to fabricate geometrically complex ceramic scaffolds at low temperatures. Here, we aimed to fabricate 3D printed ceramic scaffolds composed of nano-biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) at a low temperature without the add...
